Every Tuesday at 2:15 pm.
A fun, engaging and relaxing class for parents or guardians & their babies. The focus of the class will be on gentle stretching and movement to release every day tightness and tensions, especially those associated with carrying babies, whilst also allowing time for engaging, bonding and relaxing with baby.
The course is suitable for women from 6+ weeks postnatal up until babies are fully crawling (usually around 8 or 9 months). Dads and guardians are very welcome to come along too.
The class will help participants to gently strengthen their body, to gain more flexibility, to open and release areas of tightness and tension in the back, neck and shoulders, and to find space for relaxation. We will also include some gentle yoga stretches and movements for babies, and some baby yoga songs.
The class will also encourage an awareness of posture in all movements, including the care and handling of babies.
We will explore postures and practices that parents can do with and without their babies so they can easily continue their yoga at home.
The classes will be informal, fun and relaxed, and participants are free to feed, change, comfort or soothe babies to sleep whenever necessary.
The class is also a great opportunity to get to know other new parents in the local area.
