Yoga for Adults

Every Tuesday at 3:45pm.

All welcome! Come along to meet new people and to move and stretch your body in a gentle and safe way. The classes are open level and suitable for beginners, and the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and welcoming. Don't worry if you've never done yoga before.

Regular attendance will help you to feel more at ease in your body; will relieve aches and pains; improve your fitness, flexibility and balance; and help you to manage stress. The classes are also a great opportunity to connect with other people in your community. You don't need to bring anything, just wear something comfortable that you can move in.

 

Got Kids?

Whilst you're spending time on your health and wellbeing, bring your children to our kids sessions, packed with lots of fun activities that promote positive health and wellbeing. Children’s activities will include fun games designed to get your kids moving, as well as drama, arts and craft and cooking activities.

Children sessions are suitable for ages 5 – 11 years and are limited to 3 children per adult attending the yoga class.

About our yoga teacher - Sarah Burgess

Sarah is a very experienced and highly qualified yoga teacher with over 800 hours of training and over 15 years of teaching experience.

She has worked extensively with beginners and loves introducing people to the benefits of yoga and how it can transform their lives.

She truly believes that everyone can benefit from yoga, whatever their background or current physical condition, and her approach to teaching is one of warmth, encouragement and care and is always tailored to an individual’s needs.

She has worked with people of all ages and in all types of settings, ranging from community centres to yoga studios and large corporate banks and law firms. Her teaching encompasses the dynamic practices of ashtanga and vinyasa yoga, through to more gentle hatha yoga and the slower practices of yin and restorative yoga. She is also a fully qualified and experienced pregnancy and postnatal yoga teacher. And more recently her studies have taken her into yoga therapy and teaching yoga for stress, anxiety and burnout.

Having lived and worked in London for many years Sarah is very aware of the stresses and strains of big city living and knows how a regular yoga practice can help to combat these and enable people find more space, peace and balance in their body and mind.
