POSTPONED UNTIL NOVEMBER 2020
Part of Newham Word Festival
Presented by Forest Gate Arts
A Free Family Workshop
Join us as we are immersed in a subaquatic world; we will hear stories of the sea and explore how our own behaviour has influenced the oceans, working together to design and develop creative costumes to spread the word on how to protect this valuable natural resource.
Drawing on the tradition of oral history, the audience will be invited to use props and drama to help tell the story of how plastic is influencing our worlds oceans and its wildlife. They will meet different creatures, exploring movement and expression whilst considering the challenges they face as the climate crisis impacts.
Participants will have the opportunity to work together to draw and design costumes using a broad range of resources and inspiring source material that both questions and reflects upon their experience.
