Swing into Christmas with this fabulous band of 20 brilliant jazz musicians.
After the huge success of their debut concert last year, The Sam Every Big Band first made their London club and PizzaExpress debut with a star-studded young band of exceptional talent. After the Covid lockdown, they're back and live-streaming from Applecart Arts.
The concert will feature a whole host of everyone's favourite classics, arranged especially for Jazz Big Band for this livestream. Not only that - but it will feature the first live performances of the tracks from the Sam Every Big Band's debut christmas EP "Christmas is Here," which will be released on the 4th of December. Expect a night of classic swing music, groovy soul and funky pop played by some of the top young musicians in the country. A musical festive feast to whet your yuletide appetite this christmas!
This event will be live-streamed in line with Government Guidelines surrounding the current pandemic.

Sam Every is a 21 year old songwriter, arranger, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Cornwall, UK. Moving out of his home in Cornwall aged 12 to study music full time, Sam has most recently graduated from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and is now cementing his reputation as one of the top young arrangers, musical directors, and songwriters on the scene. Sam has so far worked with the likes of Dave Arch (Strictly Come Dancing), Samira Mighty (Love Island), Gayatri Nair (The Voice), DeAndre (American Idol), Phoebe Katis and many, many more, regularly performing as a both a bandleader and drummer for numerous artists across a wide span of genres in venues like the Royal Albert Hall, the 606 Club, the Royal Festival Hall, Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho and Symphony Hall in Birmingham. Sam is extremely excited to be releasing his second Album (debut EP for the Sam Every Big Band), an original Christmas EP - "Christmas is Here," which includes 4 of his original christmas songs. This will be released on all digital streaming platforms on the 4th of December.

Luca Manning won the rising star award at the 2018 Scottish Jazz Awards and has now released his first album : “When the sun comes out” which features Scottish pianist Fergus McCreadie and special guest saxophonist, Laura Macdonald.
Meg Bird performs regularly across London at venues such as The Vortex, Pizza Express Live, and the Barbican Centre with leading industry legends like Liane Carrol, Tommy Blaize and many many more.
