Goodbye from Applecart Arts
 
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of Applecart Arts. After years of serving as a vibrant hub for creativity, storytelling, and community connection, we must say farewell. This decision comes despite every effort to sustain the organisation, including the tremendous support from our patrons, artists, and friends. 
 
Applecart Arts has been a beacon of hope, a place where art and community came alive. From hosting groundbreaking performances to offering a welcoming space for emerging and local talent, our journey has been one of inspiration and transformation. Your unwavering support allowed us to make dreams come true and create an inclusive, dynamic cultural space. 
 
We are deeply grateful to everyone who stood by us over the years—whether you joined us for a show or festival, participated in a workshop, tucked into a toastie in our café or visited one of our exhibitions. Your generosity and passion kept our mission alive and thriving. 
 
To our artists and collaborators: your creativity and vision brought Applecart Arts to life, and we are in awe of the magic you created. To our community: your involvement and encouragement made this journey joyous and inspiring.  Your generosity during our campaign to save the charity was humbling to all of us who were fighting to keep our venue alive.  
 
Applecart’s work has been the made possible by a core team that has worked tirelessly over years to build a place where people can feel welcome and safe exploring their creative lives. The expertise, commitment and resilience of our creative team, our venue and café crew and our amazing freelancers has enabled the charity to deliver a quality and breadth of work that many larger organisations would envy.  Thank you to you all.
 
As we close our doors, we invite you to celebrate what we achieved together. Applecart Arts was more than a venue—it was a family, a collective, and a challenge to local leaders, showing what could be achieved if the local authority placed more faith and investment in its grass roots organisations. Though this chapter ends, the spirit of Applecart lives on in the stories we shared and the connections we built. 
 
Thank you for being part of this remarkable journey. Applecart Arts may be closing, but the memories and impact will endure.
