Newham Unlocked Festival

The RETURN is a devised one-women show that explores the hidden effects of war and intergenerational damage. It is based on the performer’s personal experience of living in Croatia during the breakup of former Yugoslavia and investigates how it might have influenced where she ios now The story is told in a collage like fashion and the character's thoughts and feelings are probed through movement, spoken word and poetry. It is a profoundly personal story questioning our freedom of choice. A piece of touching, visual theatre with disarming dead pan humour.

The RETURN has been live-streamed from The Cockpit Theatre earlier this year, and it had its live premiere at the Camden Fringe 2021.

Supported by Arts Council England.

A breathtaking show using music and movement to explore childhood memories... Mann's performance is striking, thought provoking and, on occasion, completely bewildering
