DJ and producer Elderbury created the album Birth to document the birth of his first child. When planning for labour, it was recommended to play relaxing music, so Elderbury set to work creating a series of Lofi-inspired chillout and electronic beats especially for his wife. 

With a baby set to be born during lockdown, there has been little opportunity to demonstrate the work put into the album and tell the story of his son’s, William, birth.

Since then, Elderbury has worked on two new albums and an EP, spanning genres including LoFi, chillout, breakbeats, house, glitch and hip hop. Through the set, he will take you on the journey of becoming a father and playing music with his new creative partner, Elderbaby. 

Now, at Newham Unlocked, Elderbury, through a DJ, spoken word and live performance, will take you on the journey of Birth before delving into a set containing new music.
