The Museum of the Imagination is coming to the festival. But we need your help to build up our collection of objects.

Under the guidance of our Curators, hunt in the park with our searching tools and metal detectors for the objects we need - then bring them back to the museum. They might look like every day items, but once you bring them back and put them into secure forensic pockets you can tell us what they really are! Before they go on display! Perhaps you'll find your fortune and be able to put your treasure in the spotlight. Last time we found a mermaid's ruler, Frankenstein's bolts, a submarine periscope and an alien's earring.

So what will we find for The Museum of the Imagination this time!

This is a drop in workshop perfect for families and for anyone who has curiosity and imagination. You'll spend a little time in teams looking for interesting artefacts around the park, under the supervision of a workshop leader, and then come back to the museum base to bag up and label your finds. It takes around 15 minutes to search and document, but you can stay all afternoon and go out and find as many objects as you like!

The museum of the Imagination is run by Parrabbola, who are a community arts company based in Newham.
