Our World is an exhibition of works from the Loving Earth Project collection.

The Loving Earth Project is a community textiles project helping people to engage creatively and constructively with the growing threat of environmental breakdown, without being overwhelmed.

Started by a small group of Quakers in 2019, the project has spread to community groups across the globe and over 500 textiles panels have been created in response to what we can do to limit climate change and how we can create a sustainable future. The collection of panels now form part of a growing touring exhibition to share positive examples of change and why people have taken action for the sake of love.

The Loving Earth Project invites people to think about the specific, not the big picture. To focus on one thing or one person we love, to explore how our activities affects them and what we can personally do to become part of the solution.

The Quaker Arts Network Project Organisers

The Loving Earth Project

was started by a few Quakers in 2019 and quickly generated interest from a wide range of people. The Quaker Arts Network (QAN) initially worked partnership with Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre , supported by other Quaker groups and individuals, running a range of workshops and courses.

QAN remains responsible for the project, working through a small steering group of volunteers. We encourage others to organise their own workshops and events, drawing on our materials and adapting them to local circumstances, and we welcome collaboration with others who share our aims. We are grateful for financial assistance to support exhibitions and publications from Westhill, the Southall Trust, The Edith.M.Ellis Charitable Foundation, and others including a number of Quaker Meetings.
