In the first week of the Easter holiday, Applecart Arts hosted a holiday club for over 30 local children.
The programme was themed on storytelling and had been designed to develop children’s skills and knowledge whilst simultaneously being fun and sociable. Children worked with professionals trained in Cooking, Theatre and the Visual Arts each day, creating something from each workshop.
Each day children made their lunch, played lots of drama games, made lots of things including masks, short animations, shadow puppets and had lots and lots of fun making friends.
At the end of the holiday club children got to show off their new skills, talents and knowledge in a showcase culminating in 3 short shadow puppet plays for their parents, carers and even someone's pet dog.
